He’s baaaaaack

Did you feel that first fall chill in the air, faithful Filthy Dreams followers? Do you know what that means?! AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!! THE RETURN OF THE HALLOWREEN PLAYLIST!

Sure, its only mid-September but Halloween (or Hallowreen as Tim Curry seems to be slurring in his queeny performance in The Worst Witch) will be here faster than you think. Quick! Hoard all the animatronic rat decorations at the Spirit Halloween Store before it’s too late! And nothing will set those rats a’dancin’ than this over five-hour long sequel to last year’s Hallowreen playlist. 

Sequels are always the worst and we’ve tried to live up to that tradition by creating an excruciating yet addictive part 2.  Just the first song “Come With Me To Transylvania” presents the horror that is to come…that is, if your Halloween party guests make it past desperate Drac’s attempt to talk up Transylvania (“you’ll be at home with all the mummies!”). Like other sequels, some of your tired old favorites make an appearance coupled with a ton of new spooky vintage rockabilly cheese, some eerie post-punk classics and of course, some haunted blues.

And just when you think you can’t take anymore, Nick Cave, along with Anita Lane, Kylie Minogue, Shane MacGowan, PJ Harvey, Blixa Bargeld and the Bad Seeds’ drummer Thomas Wydler, will sooth your aching soul with the horrible sing-a-long reminder that death is, in fact, not the end.
